Wemos envisages a world in which every person can realize his or her right to the highest attainable standard of health. Therefore, Wemos advocates for the right to health of people in developing countries and aims to strengthen national health systems that contribute to the structural improvement of people’s health in developing countries.

To enjoy the best possible health is a universal human right. All countries, rich or poor, agree on this right. In practice, however, we see little being done. Many men, women and children in the developing countries face unnecessary health risks every day. If they fall ill, they cannot rely on good care. Wemos and fellow organizations in developing countries have taken up their cause. With the support of health care providers in the Netherlands, we call upon politicians and policymakers worldwide to ensure health for all.
